Sunday Gun Hunting in Simco County

Sunday gun hunting is allowed in all of Norfolk county which includes Simcoe. It falls under WMU 90B.

Unless you are talking about Simcoe county forests which I think is GTA area.....if thats the case, then completely ignore the above. :)

I believe in Simcoe county to hunt on sundays in the regional forests you need to be a member of the OFAH. Not too sure what kind of clarification you need. Sunday gun hunting is exactly what it means hunting with a gun on sunday.

Incorrect..

Only certain forests fall within the townships that allow sunday hunting.. NOT ALL FORESTS can be hunted on a sunday.. you need to do your homework, and look at the maps on the MNR site which state which townships allow sunday hunting.. you then need to look up the forests which allow hunting in them (not all do). (Eg I know of two forests which are on opposite sides of a road, you can hunt on one on a sunday, the other you cannot.. the road is the dividing line between two townships!!

once you have a forest which does allow sunday hunting, then you also need to make sure you are a member of the OFAH to be able to hunt those forests.

Lucky, you can hunt whatever is in season at the time (which right now is nothing). Rabbits are considered to be small game, not furbearers. Furbearers include wolf, coyote, fox, raccoon, skunk, weasel and opossum. Skunk and fox are open season all year, but since you say no hunting of furbearers, your out of luck there. Rabbit and grouse seasons are listed on pg 72 and 73 of the hunting regs.

Thanks for the clarification. I knew that you had to be a member of the OFAH.
