I'm getting frustrated trying to find out where & what type of Sunday hunting is legal in Southern Ontario. From what I've put together from the OFAH and MNR sites, there are different rules for waterfowl hunting compared to upland or deer. I found an MNR map that shows 'sub areas' in a WMU near me that allows Sunday hunting, but again there are no roads or anything on that map that will actually be useful to me in finding out if the properties that I hunt on are legal for Sundays.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised at the efficientcy of our gov't agencies :runaway:

Can anyone help me out and point me to any websites or other resources that will help me figure out where I can hunt on Sundays :)

Thanks

"...finding out if the properties..." It goes by the municipality. You have to know which one your spot is in. Figure that out and get a regular road map. A topographical map would be a good idea too. The MNR, among others, sells them.
There's a map and list of which municipalites allow Sunday hunting here. http://www.mnr.gov.on.ca/en/Business/FW/2ColumnSubPage/STEL02_173985.html

Thanks sunray, that link is good stuff. I'm using google to figure out which of the properties I have permission to hunt on fall into which township, and going from there. I've found 3 so far :)

I won't be chasing any deer this year, I didn't get my huntil license until early fall. I'm still hoping for some partridge this season.

After the holidays are done with, I'm going to be investing in an Excalibur Phoenix crossbow. Then deer will hopefully be on the menu when the 2009 season starts.
