Sunday hunting in AB.

Can anyone remember the reason why Sunday hunting is not allowed in the 100 zones, or if there was any reason given?

I think in the beginning it was because of the strong influence of religion in the Alberta bible belt. Then it morphed into one day "off" for land owners to not have to worry about hunters. I'm not 100% certain but I believe that is how we got to this point.

The reason we were given at the Fish and Game Conference last year was land owner by in. I think there is sunday hunting for birds province wide. They did extend the big game seasons in the 100 season by one day, but they added Wednesday instead of Sunday.

I'd say that SRD is willing, so get some land owners to write letters asking for Sunday hunting and you may get it.
