Just curious what the differences in the provinces are on Sunday hunting.

When and where are you allowed to hunt on Sunday?

In Ab you have to be in the "Green Zone" to hunt on Sunday's which is dictated by the hunting regs map.

With exception to spring goose hunting that is open wherever you can get the suckers to pitch up.

this sucks to live here...all the booze cans are open ..but i cant hunt to put food on my table...
i hate the liberals..
 
Ontario you can hunt with a bow on sundays and with guns north of a certain line and in some specific areas of southern (mostly eastern) Ontario, kind like your green zones.
 
I hunt the most southern part of Alberta usually, and deer hunting is only allowed on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday during the season.

Get the insurance companiesd involved in your proposals for Sunday hunts.

They got involved here in AB and all the sudden multiple doe tags started appearing.

Less animals means less claims and so on............
 
No sunday hunting in NS. But I can go out for a drink and gambling. Jebus H Kryst, we're still debating Sunday shopping! If the politicians wanna have a day in the week for non-hunters or to provide the animals with a rest day...make it a wednesday!

Just ask for the "rationale" behind the ban on Sunday hunting. You wont get a straight answer cause every damn jurisdiction knows that it is based upon old defunct Christian morality and violates the Charter of Rights.
 
It is up to the province, the MP's would do nothing. In Ontario the idea has been tossed around, but I believe with the Liberals in power here and the pro handgun ban stance as well that we will not see an extra day of hunting for a while. I hope this is false but only time will tell.
 
I thought you guys were joking about the ban on Sunday hunting, I gotta say that I kinda still feel like your pulling my leg a little, hard to believe that in this day and age that the day of rest rule of years gone past still comes into play. Archaic.
 
We go 7 days a week here in in Northeast Alberta.
Sunday ban starts at Wondering river in farm country.
It may have something to do with the farmers harvesting, but I am not sure...
