Sundre, Alberta

I've taken a few deer out of the Tay River and Seven Mile areas, around corkscrew mountain. Pretty nice country in there.

if that's the one i'm thinking of you can pick it up west of rocky mountain house , and it runs between the blue hill and mockingbird hill ranger stations- and then south to the ghost river- but then you have to turn east and pick up the no 1 highway to get to canmore as the STONEY reserve gets in the way- you can see one road from the other but you can't get there- and trust me it's a REAL nasty road- not for a car, but a good "beater" truck

Highway 734 winds from the North End to the South end of the province along the Eastern Slopes. Take a day, drive a section and see what looks promising. There are a ####pile of elk West of Sundre out near Ya Ha Tinda

It was pretty crappy weather on Monday so we just drove back through Caroline and Rocky Mountain House. Is 734 the road from Nordegg to Edson?

I was surprised at the gun shop in Caroline I never expected to find a shop in that little town I actually went in to buy windshield washer fluid and then to my surprise I found a little bit of Heaven... :D

I couldn't believe the quantity of ammo they had just on the shelf.

Across the road there is a little butchershop called ravenwood farms and they sell local meat from 10 farms including their own Berkshire pork. We bought some chops and honestly they were the best I've ever had in my life.

Thats my cousin's shop :)
He'll be pleased to hear your comments!

If you know the way you can turn off the forestry trunk road right before the Bar C and drive through the stoney reserve and link up to the 1A right at Morley then take the Morley road to the Hwy 1. I would not suggest that route unless you have a truck and someone who knows the route very well. If not then yeah you gotta take the forestry trunk all the the way to 1A then the 1A to Morley. The forestry trunk road itself isn't bad from the 1A all the way up to the west of Sundre, no need for a truck.

Your cousins to Reg!:runaway: Oh no!:p

Eh?
You lost me buddy
Mark is my cuz (on my mom's side),
BTW I made up some takedown tools for the 8. They seem to work OK as long as your barrel nut isn't siezed on - PM me if you still need to take yours down.

Yes Martin, Tamara is correct.
I'm sure they appreciated your feedback - I hear they are now selling product into some high end restaurants.

Cam, I would not suggest that route through the reserve anymore (unless, of course, you have "brothers" there :p)

It must be me that is lost... I got mixed with the caroline supplies and the Raven link.

And for sure I will take you up on that barrel nut wrench. No hurry though, playing with the gun is not in the program right now. It is very clean so I doubt rust will be an issue.

Thanks!

Haha, I haven't taken it for a few years but I was talking to my buddy who lives right across from paintball and he says he still takes it daily to get to work in canmore. I don't get how he does it as he has a sedan and it's an awful road but he gets through. Just make sure you don't hit any of the dogs running around. Or piss off any of my "cousins" if you know what I'm saying.
