Sunrise sunset... legal light table

I'd love to go by the actual sunset sunrise times... BUT, here in anal N.B., DNR actually puts out a table in the regs every year... Problem with the "table" is that it goes in BLOCKS of time... So, from a date to another date, the time for hunting is the SAME... Not changing each day...

So... Some days, your out and have to put the gun away even though you can still see... Other days, it's dark and your still "legal"...

Cheers

Just went to the website and had a look... For example...

Oct.22nd to Oct.28th 7:28am to 6:52pm

Stupid...

The 30 min before and after makes much more sense...

Cheers

There's a very adequate one on The WeatherNetwork Web-site ... adjust for the area closest to whwere you are. Plug in whatever date you want.
That was one of the first places I looked however none of the cities listed is near enough to our area to give accurate times.
Using one of the other sites, i was able to use Belleville, and that has the same aproximate longitude at least, so should be close.
The chart is for the non-gps users in our group. Most gps give very accurate local sunset/sunrise times.

We have a chart in the Saskatchewan Hunters Guide,on the zone map page there are sunrise and sunset times for every week ending April9 to Dec31. This is set for the 106 degrees longtitude. For every 10 mi East subtract 1 min.For every 10 mi West add 1 min.

For today, Oct. 24, the difference between Peterborough & Kitchener,
roughly 200 km straight-line, is 7 minutes - or to interpolate, about 1 minute for every 30 km west.

Probably more important for your technology impoverished buddies ....
do they have accurate watches that they can see in the dark ???

Of the C.O.s I've asked, a couple of minutes "grace" is not unrealistic, but 10 minutes will trigger some action.
