Hello

I was wondering what experiences people have had out there with the Canadian dumbed down version of the KP31. I am thinking about getting one just for some fun, and beacuse of the history behind them.

the one I had worked well, though the stock was ratty. I replaced it with a better surplus one. It was heavy as hell for what it was, and after having some fun I sold it along.

Okay, that sounds promising. I have just heard whispers on the wind of people saying it was their worst purchase they've ever made, though I haven't really been able to find anyone who carries that opinion

I was having issues with mine chambering rounds but polished the feed ramp and seems to have resolved the problem. I use only 124 gr round nose and they seem to feed ok, even from the drum. I tend to look at mine as a project gun to tinker with, one Ive debated selling many times but then can’t seem to go through with it.

Relying on memory, there were reports of poor welding posted here, didn't sound to be a very well done conversion. Check it out.

Grizz

It is novelty purchase for sure. Mine had a terrible trigger pull until I fully disassembled it and carefully polished some of the surfaces. Seems they coated everything in the rebuilding process at the US factory. I use lead reloads in mine and it is a fun firearm to shoot

Sloppy barrel fit is common. I fabricated .012" of shims for mine and it tightened up but still can be removed easily. Shoots accurately enough at 20 yards.
