Super Budget build - Savage Axis .223 Heavy Barrel

I am going to try some better ammo yotarunner, but I still think that the scope is part of the problem. I say this because while trying to sight in the scope, the POI shift was no where near where it should have been based on the windage and elevation changes I made on the scope. No point trying to shoot with something like that.
 
Talk to Jerry at Mystic Precision (see his post above) and get his comments on a good trigger as well as how to bed Savages.
Also ask him about his profited Shilen select match grade barrels for your new build. Adding one of those barrels to a Savage
action is not that hard to do, and a person can switch to other calibers as well if you like.
