So I went to Le Barons today to pick up a Remington 870 Express (Reg: $378) and I expected to pay $427 after taxes for the shotgun which I was more then willing to pay.

When I showed up, turns out they have a No Taxes event on all there non-sale merchandise until December 11. So in addition to that I get 10% off as I am a member. And even better there is a $30 rebate on the express model until the new year.

So in effect I got the Rem870 Express for $340 flat, once the rebate comes in it will be $310 flat, and I should have paid $427, so I saved $117 bucks, not bad at all for walking into the no tax event and the rebate.

I was also lucky as 5 Rem870's had just come in the day before so I got a brand new one in the box instead of off the rack.

I bet you your receipt says no Returns on it, if it the gun malfunctions don't expect any help from them.

That's a big FAIL. If he has warranty issues with the gun and he brings it to Lebaron's and they do nothing, there should be riots in the street and 1000's of anti Lebaron's marches Canada wide. :stirthepot2:

I hate to call you out on this, but you're wrong. While its true they don't allow you to return guns (or ammo, or calls, or scopes, or anything on sale which is sh!tty), they will accept guns within the first year IIRC for warranty purposes.

I know because I had an issue with the follower on my 870 express 20 gauge. They shiped it off to Gravel for free and I had my gun back in a couple of weeks. No charge, and really fast service. This was last fall.

They were selling the surplus by the crate at the Mississauga location, saw a few of them in the back from where I was standing, so not sure how many they had. But the only thing the no tax doesn't apply to is ammo/powder unfortunately.

that is beauty, your lucky ! did they have a lot of surplus ammo left ?

I just assumed the " No Returns" that is stamped on special sale receipts meant just that. I have never bought anything but ammo and a buckmark sticker from them so never had to worry.

I bought my remmie870 from the woodbine store. I had a club membership as well, anything helps a bit I guess when feeding a hungry gunnut.
