Well I took a chance and bought one from wild west shooting center as they had them on clearance for $70 and i couldn't pass on that deal and sure enough it didn't fit, nor did it fit a Girsan trigger guard lol, the square trigger guard on the M9A1 was preventing it from seating far enough down for the spring loaded stainless ball to seat inside the trigger guard and the plastic catch opposite the ball wasn't the correct shape to seat inside the trigger guard either, I was determined to make it work and with some minor disassembly and light filing it fits awesome and is very secure now. Just thought I would post results incase anyone was interested on a good deal on a holster and wasn't sure about fitment issues.
Out of further curiosity, which bits did you have to file down? I picked one, and it definitely does not seat and lock properly on my Elite either.
It locks just fine disassembled, so its definitely the little spring loaded plastic bit opposite the ball that is impeding it. I'm just not sure which part of the piece is stopping from moving forward enough to seat, the bit that the front of the trigger guard hits, or the bit at the back that locks inside the guard.

If I remember correctly I took the cover and the plastic catch out first so I could file down the holster where the front of the trigger guard was hitting/bottoming out and not letting the ball fully extend into trigger guard....mabey 1 or 2mm at most, if you look at the spring postion on the back side of ball with an empty holster and use that visual distance as a reference when filing material and seating gun after small filing increments to determine ball is fully extended into trigger guard, when you figure ball fully extends put the plastic catch in by hand without cover on and you should be able to see where you need to remove/file a tiny amount of plastic....at a bit of an angle i beleive so it goes inside of the guard. I did very small increments on both peices to keep everything as tight as possible. I have used it in a few matches and it works like a champ, couldn't be happier with it.
