Kifaru engineered the Lost Park Parka and Pants to be incredibly durable and water-repellent while remaining extremely lightweight. It’s breathable, lightweight, and durable water-resistant fabric is made for the most extreme conditions and use. Kifaru uses Climashield APEX insulation, which is treated with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish that keeps it from absorbing water if it’s exposed to moisture. In an innovative construction process, the insulation is sewn into a tough inner lining to create one consistent layer of warmth that leaves no cold spots that could otherwise be caused by insulation clumping. Protection of your belly, forearms and elbows, and knees and seat are insured with double paneled Cordura.

Unlike other insulative pieces that must be coddled, the combination of hydrophobic exterior, protective Cordura panels, and waterproof Climashield Apex insulation, the Lost Parka Parka and Pants will keep you warm in any condition, particularly the worst that you might encounter. The enhanced durability will ensure that the Lost Parka pieces serve you for many years to come.

Key features:
– Rhino Ripstop Shield outer and inner material
– Water-resistant outer shell
– Climashield APEX insulation
– 500d Cordura front pocket and sleeve panels for extra wear protection
– Internal chest pocket
– Front pocket with “kangaroo” pouch to help keep essentials in place
– Semi Athletic fit (slightly trimmer than a regular fit)
– Excellent pack-ability
– Fits in our large Three String Stuff Sack

Construction:
Our proprietary RhinoSkin™ – the lightest/toughest material available with an excellent DWR finish for water resistance, and the reversible two tone color scheme provides more blending latitude.

Where are these made please? I'm not investing in China these days.

The Lost Parka products (along with their packs and accessories) are Berry Amendment compliant, meaning that they are 100% domestic USA in origin, and can be (and are) sold to the United States DoD.

We are very proud to offer their packs and other products to Canadian customers.

Domestic material, shipped off shore, sewn together for pennies, and shipped back, is that what you mean by the
Berry Amendment?

“The Berry Amendment is a statutory requirement that restricts the Department of Defense (DoD) from using funds appropriated or otherwise available to DoD for procurement of food, clothing, fabrics, fibers, yarns, other made-up textiles, and hand or measuring tools that are not grown, reprocessed, reused, or produced in the United States. The Berry Amendment has been critical to maintaining the safety and security of our armed forces, by requiring covered items to be produced in the United States. With respect to textiles and clothing, the Berry Amendment has been critical to the viability of the textile and clothing production base in the United States.”

Actually, no. Kifaru does its sewing, in-house whenever possible. This is why it takes so long to get product from them. Why don't you give them a call and have a chat, they are typically very helpful and informative: 1-307-370-7981.

Or better yet, try reaching out to Aron Snyder's social media and asking him directly, he's very dedicated to addressing questions and setting folks straight.

Not sure what your comment is based-on, but the folks at Kifaru put a lot of pride into their goods, and take it very seriously. Have a good day.

I have the half zip, its like wearing a damn sleeping bag. Glad that omers bringing them in.
pricey kit but what isnt these days.

I've got the half zip and it's a great piece of kit. I kinda wish I'd gotten the full zip though, easier to don and doff over a bino harness. Kifaru stuff is top notch and proudly made in the States.

Kifaru wouldn’t have made it this far, for this long, charging what they do, if they did.
