No. The action isn't long enough. You need a Savage chambered for a RUM. Different bolt head, different ejection, different shank diameter and different mag box opening.
Some of the first rum/wsm's were reportedly push feeds so that means the regular bolt head of a win mag would work. Also, the early rum/wsm's were small shank so you know that works. If you don't mind a single shot, go for it. A Savage chambered in RUM already would make things real easy. I had one in 7mm RUM but not now.
