Surefire forend on a 12.5" 870?

I have seen lots on the 14". How do they look on the 12.5"? Anyone have pics of theirs?

They extend beyond the barrel by the full length of the light bezel.
Bumps into things.

You could convert the surefire forend from a 3Cell 9V to a single cell 3V head which would reduce the OAL length down to something that would perform and function well.

I think SkullBoy should be able to help you out with doing the 3V as I know he did it to his tac'd shotgun.

If you don't like the look/practicality of that then get a rail fore-end and mount a regular surefire to that.

I don't want to know how often you have to change light bulb with all that muzzle blast from the barrel.

I'm having trouble finding one for my 8.5" shorty.

Not a lot of room.

Thanks Bigredrubi. Actually it doesn't look too bad. It does kind of defeat the compactness of the short shotti though. ADK, yea actually I have a railed forend on there now, maybe I will stick with that.
