i have the Hogue forend now, and i'm thinking of changing it up a bit!? i've already searched, so i'll keep my questions fresh...

-how does this compare in size to the hogue forend (not that it matters, but the hogue overlaps the receiver about 1/4" (refer to pic))

-what are the overall thoughts compared directly to the hogue (is it comfortable on the hand? does it fit tightly, or is it loose after installed?)

-what are some alternate options for a railed forend, quality wise equal or better to the SureFire one?

thanks!!!! :)

almost every Remmy forend ive ever owned has overlapped the receiver by that much, including woods and synthetics.

that M69, IMO, looks uncomfortable... even if you buy picatinny rail covers/fillers to make them more comfortable to grip. what do you want to mount on it? why not consider something more ergonomic? if you want to mount a light IMO the surefire forend like this is a more elegant and ergonomic solution:

im just going by the pic though, never owned a forend bristling with picatinnies.
my idea of 'tactical' is a lot more understated and sheeple-friendly (with a wood stock) :)

i don't necessarily want to mount anything on it... i just want change.

i don't want a light on my forend. i've already thought about purchasing that model, but realized that 99.9999...% of my shooting takes place during daylight hrs ;)

manbearpig, one more thing... the factory 870 Police (and XCS MM) forend does not overlap the receiver at all. it butts up flush w/ it. it's quite nice.
