So I was a cheap bastard and bought a clone of Warcomp made by TNA. As far as I can tell the difference is that it's comp ports are not timed the same way as the OG relative to the three prongs (which should be purely cosmetic difference) and it doesn't have a notch for Surefire suppressors.

What I noticed is that regardless how I time the comp ports (neutral or right hand sided), it tends to over drive my muzzle down. Yes, muzzle actually flips down, not up, while shooting with this thing on, and it's rather disruptive. I think the comp ports are too much. Either too many or too large, idk.

Tried it on 2 different rifles with 16 and 20" barrels, with similar results.

Not sure if I am doing something wrong or TNA's version is missing some Surefire's magic, but so far this device seems useless.

Does anyone have experience with this muzzle device or actual Warcomp? Can confirm my experience?

Extremely common with these types of compensators. They provide too much downward force and cause the rifle to push down.

There was a HUGE comparison of muzzle devices by a big gun blog a while back.

Griffin Armament used to have that sort of setup in their flash/comp but they closed off the top row of ports (a while back) to limit the downward push so you had a very neutral recoil pattern:

I would be curious enough to tap a couple rows for set screws.
Then you could really experiment with which ones make the muzzle neutral and loctite them in.

I think Adam Arms did that with a "customizable" comp you could put set screws into and set it up however you wanted.

To the OP, i remembered the Article from Vuurwapen; it might help ya choose something a little more effective:

So you bought a jUsT aS gOoD fake and wondered why it didn't work?

That's what I'm reading. Could be any number of reasons why it pushes rather than stays flat, like larger than designed ports on top.
I've had a few different SF muzzle devices like the brake, closed tine, and 3P, (on 10.5" to 20" barrels) and none have vented upward enough to push the muzzle down. At most they stay flat.

I have a few SF warcomps. They dont push the muzzle down.
They are a hybrid flash hider/comp. They are not strong enough to push the muzzle down.
