Hello, looked around and couldn't find anything on the Surefire Warden. Just wondering if anyone has any hands on experience with it? Originally I was looking into a Noveske KX5 but I really like how the warden can be removed. Any comment or feedback from real users would be great. Cost, ease of use etc.

thanks =)

I don't have one yet but it's on the list. They are very expensive once you factor in the proprietary Surefire mount which is a SF socom flash hider or brake of sorts. All in for the mount and warden you will be closing the gap on $400-$450. It uses the same mounting system as the socom series of SF suppressors, so it should be easy to use and of good quality.

FWIW the AAC Blast Out operates the same way, is cheaper and easier to obtain. Combination muzzle brake and Black Out would be about $250.

looked at the AAC but IMHO I think the Surefire is a little meaner looking. I bought a KAC 3T so price isn't a big concern as long as I am getting quality products. Any opinions on if the gov'ment is going to come down on this product. I know its not a suppressor but it mounts like one, and with our wishy washy politicians they might make this item a big deal.

Got one. It does fine I suppose.

Would I buy it again? Probably not.

It does it's thing, but you're literally taking a brake, then removing some of the functionality of the brake to make it more comfortable for people nearby.

It's like a two steps forward one step back kind of deal. Plus adding weight.

It was partially made for "not bothering your neighbor"

But shooting in the modified prone and in structures is where its use becomes clear.

Ever shot that tavor in modified prone unsheilded? Your face gets a nice poof of dirt and the break will literally dig holes in the ground.

My 2cents

If you are shooting from multiple different tactical position and take courses and shoot matches, might be useful for you.

If not your doing it for looks

I would say between you aND TVPP that is a very fair assessment.

I also dislike the AAC look, I really like how the Warden looks like a mini suppressor.
