Just picked up a Surefire X300 for the Glock (from feebay) and the tail switch is all gummed up. There is no momentary switch and fixed switch... it is just the same gumminess from side to side. It does this with batteries and no batteries.

Also, when I opened the sealed package, the tail switch was open, and it was very hard (batteries or no) to snap the tail cap shut.

Any ideas? Thx

Other than that, it is much brighter than my M3 Streamlight.

Like I said, it is gummed up both ways. I have to use force (with two fingers) to move the 'paddle' up and down.

Doubt it. Came with all the accessories, reg card w/code, sealed (taped) box, etc.

Odd, must be defective. I mean it is nothing like my M3 Streamlight. I can use my index finger for momentary and it springs back to place, and use the index finger to switch always on/off. This thing... I have to use my thumb and finger to turn it either way up or down. It is the exact same tight tension on both sides. Contacted seller to see what if anything can be done b/c something aint right.

My X300 works fine, although if I switch it on and push on the switch it turns off until I release the pressure, I was told this is normal. However it moves freely and smoothly. I would call Surefire and have them send you a replacement tail cap.

I called Surefire, and they told me to give it time, and it should start moving freely, and not so sticky/gummy. It should be that way from the start, but we will see.

I see the momentary thing now, and all is well. Thumb gets a bit sore after a while though.

The light is much much better and brighter than my M3 Streamlight. Night and Day really.

I put the small black lock/cotter pin in since the battery door latch seems to barely catch. Don't have that prob with my old M3 Streamlight.
