What’s the best way to remove it and prevent future rust from happening?

I just got a second-hand little dandy powder measure with all of the rotors. Most of the rotors have some minor rust inside the drum. Any good products I could get from the local CT?

Mothers Mag and Wheel polish will remove the rust and apply a coating of protective wax. The downside is it will be a lot of polishing by hand.

If you are lazy just put each rotor one at a time in a vibratory tumbler with treated walnut media and tumble overnight.

I have used both methods to clean up resizing dies with slight surface corrosion on them.

If the rust is not that bad it might rub off with a little CLP and rubbing with an old scrap of T-shirt.

Thanks Ed, I’ll give the polishing a try with my dremel tonight. I’ve got 25 rotors to do so the tumbler idea may take quite a few days.
