There is a bit of information on them at the link below. It seems they are known for tactical use and most models are made with extra clearances to accomodate dirty field conditions. If your objective is benchrest accuracy, then they seem to offer a model for that which has tighter clearances. Would be worth checking to ensure the specific model matches your objectives for the build.

They are VERY strong, very well built, if you try to sit the Surgeon in a remington 700 footprint stock, you will have little modif to do ( for the bolt release ) all the trigger that fit remington 700 will fit the surgeon, i can't ask more, i'am more than happy, sure, there is excellent action a side of the surgeon but this one is a excellent one, hope it help you

they are an excellent action... rifles built on these action will match the performance of anything out there... they come trued and also have some design features such as the rail being machined out as part of the action ,not screwed on after. bolt handle and sleeve are also machined as one..
