a guy at the range today said that there is suposed to be a whole wack coming into canada pretty soon.
does any one know any thing about this, and where to get signed up for a case?

thanks,
Joe

haha, i will.
i just want to find something to shoot out of my gun thats not to expencive.
i think im going to have to get some remington UMC. seeing as i plan to start handloading, its probably not a bad idea.

mmmm a whole case of 303 would be so nice. Will pay up to and including $1 a round if it's reloadable brass. If not, a little less...

If it's pakistani I wouldn't buy it. There was some cases of pakistani 303 on the market here in Calgary a couple of years ago and it is dangerous, wicked hangfires like you've never seen before.

303

Every once and a while you here of the 303 surplus bus coming to town it rarely happens but when it does it goes like stink even if its the stuff from Pakastan. Ive fired it too and hangfires you wouldnt believe:eek:

I just recently got 15 boxes of 303 federal 180 gr for $10 box because Wal-mart isnt selling federal anymore so they got rid of it. Check there too!
300 rounds for .50 cents a round! :p :p :p Sweeeeeeet!;)

Radway Green owned by Royal ordnance had over 1 million rounds of Mk7z surplus. UKNRA asked for half on reserve and the w@nkers Royal ordnance flogged the lot dirt cheapto you southern Neighbours. This was late 90's and the sods have not been forgiven! we use Privi partisam, indep/fnm or any small surplus that comes around!

I still have a few sealed tins of that stuff. In the mid to late 90's, it was quite OK for Canadians to cross the border and buy ammo and stuff in the US.
I think I paid US $100 per 1000 for 1950 dated RG Mk7Z
I also got some mixed headstamp stuff for US$70 per 1000!
I wish I got a lot more!

That was the stuff, berdan primed nitro cellulose but an excellent round, shot too point of aim in my P14. All I have left now is some empties and a few inert dummy rounds made up. sadly with all the restrictions here I was and am limited to the amount I can buy over the counter. I am lucky that I can get quite a bit in comparisom to others who have problems buying or holding more than a hundred. still nothing like what you could buy then. I remember buying the 480 round option and having to buy it in two lots so as not to break the law. Still wlked out with an unopened case of it though, laws an ass and all that!

i heard a 303 brit bullet costs like 0.25. then, the primer and powder, assuming you already have the case. what is the cost to reload a round? i heard powder and primers are pretty expensive these days...what about those 8mm mauser and 30-06?

Unless you can find reasonable quantities of surplus ammo at good prices, reloading is still cheaper. One really good buy I made a few years ago was several containers of surplus 8x63 from Marstar. Bought a reamer from the states and rechambered a mismatched bubba K98 for the round. Good stuff with about the same recoil as 30-06 with 220grn bullets. That RG ammo being discussed here, if it's the same as the stuff I have in sealed black tins, is corrosive, so be careful to clean properly. The RG I have will also give the odd hangfire. bearhunter

I just sold a thousand rounds of 49 and 50 dated RG at the Salmon Arm gunshow this weekend. All of it was in bandoliers and in chargers. $25 per bandolier (50 rounds). The first day, only 3 bandoliers, the second day it was all gone by noon. bearhunter

PMC lists both .303 Ball and 30-06 Ball, I can't figure out why you never see it anywhere - you'd think with the demand it would make sense for someone to import a half million of each.

Trust me its made in factory, we do have them this side of the pond!
