Why do you say that?

The gun dealer in town told me that he heard it was near the end... No he wasn't trying to sell me his stock.. he discouraged me from buying a 91/30... because I would have to buy commercial or reload...

I know what one guy hears or says could be hog wash.... it's part of the game... but what do you guys think?
 
Seeing as how the round is still in use in a number of guns, and we're just getting into 1970's vintage surplus, I don't see the supply drying up anytime soon. It's not like other older cartridges such as .303 brit or 8mm that have fallen out of use by major military forces.
