Mosin's are cheap and fun. I have a 91/30 that loves a cast ww bullet and 12 grains of unique for target shooting and plinking. Very cheap to shoot.

One of the most accurate surplus bolt guns is the Swedish mauser. Don't think that I've ever heard of one that didn't shoot well. Handloading can make the 6.5x55 a very versatile gun too.
Not sure what the commercial supply is like on them these days but there are a lot in private hands.

ive got a finn m39 it shoots as good as most new hunting rigs lapua brass 174hornady fmjbt 50grains imr4350 and away i go.yugo mausers are usualy good. out of the 5 rc capture mausers 3 have been great shooters 2 were junk,that kinda turned me off them.
I agree with that, just picked up another this last weekend. Also consider th Swiss K-31 or the slightly older and longer model 1911 or 96/11. The best iron sight groups I have ever shot was with a Swiss 1911 with a Furter (adjustable) rear sight using their military GP-11 ammo. That day I was outshooting a friend who was using a Weatherby Accumark 300 mag with a Ziess scope. I am not going to claim that I can repeat the performance.
It's hard to argue with that statement. I'll agree with you on the price, the precision, fit and finish are fantastic. Like I said in another post, my best iron sight group was with a Schmidt-Rubin 1911, but the Swedes are tending to have an edge over the Swiss in the Camp Perry matches.
I have and shoot both and like one as well as the other. If I had to carry one I would prefer a Swede short rifle, ie model 96/30. It's slimmer and carries in the hand easier.

Mosin is the cheapest and you get them totally refurbed, with accessories. Can be hard to find components to get started reloading however, but not that hard. Really all the rifles you listed, plus the Swedish and Swiss rifles mentioned are all great buys. For starter's I'd buy a Mosin and then go from there.
If you can find yourself a nice 1908 Brazilian Mauser (7x57), that's another one that tends to be very accurate with a super slick action.
Have you had a chance to handle and shoot them? Some of them handle very differently from others. For example - the "forward motion cocking action" on enfields kindof annoys me. Mausers I like, but don't tend to use much for some reason. Mosins, now mosins just clicked with me.
Oh, and the K31... one heck of an accurate rifle for CHhheeeeeeeaaaap!! And it's a strait pull, which gets me all giggly inside.

I shoot the mosin nagants, both a 91/30 and a carbine. They both look like hell but shoot tight.
I reload with graf brass from epps, and .303 (.311 diameter) bullets from hogdon. Graf brass is mexican and cheap, and since I'm using the lee loader that only neck sizes, it lasts practically forever.

I thought Graf brass was made by Privi-Partizan? It's good stuff, I get pretty good mileage out of it. If I were to pick the best bargain on the market today, I'd say the Mosin-Nagant 91/30. Then the K-31 Schmidt-Rubin, or one of the 1911 long rifles. The nice thing about the 91/30, you get the sling, bayonet, ammo pouch etc. thrown in with the rifle. Saves you having to track them down later.
