So I wanted a turned down bolt for a M96 found one on here. Bought it from a great gunnut.

It's likely a M38 bolt but it should fit just fine. Just check the headspace to be sure it's good to go.

Yes I think you are right. I checked it with a go gauge and all is good. I thought it was kind of cool that they were so close in the numbers.

That’s not an M38 bolt. It’s a bent down M96 bolt.

But, as long as it works, it’s all good.

The numbers aren’t too far apart...are they, nice. If you looked quick , you’d think it was matching..
