So I took my daughters new christmas present (7mm-08) out for some ladder testing in anticipation of spring bear. It went as well to be expected and the node I saw was similar to what I was expecting.

I decided to take my Savage 375 Ruger and Sako 270WSM to shoot between as I just recently lapped the scope rings on them. The Sako shot the typical just under 1 MOA at 100 yds. The savage on the other hand was a huge surprise. It has always been a sub 1 moa rifle, which has been a pleasant surprise as I paid only $400 for the thing with a scope. I did take that scope of and put it on the daughters rifle, and installed a Leapold 2-7 on it for close work.

I never imagined myself shooting a sub 0.300 group before in my life, and especially not out of the savage. So I am very happy with the rifle. I do want to go to heavier bullets but really don't know if I want to move away from the accuracy I am getting.

Nice shooting!

I'm also using the 260 grain AB to great success in my M77 African . 375 Ruger.

I haven't shot a group like that, but have bedded it into a Boyds stock and it is consistently under an inch even with a hot barrel. Looks like the Ruger is an accurate cartridge across a few platforms!
