Survival food expiry date

Cleaning out the truck came on the emergency pack. I have some food and water from SOS Food Lab Inc. and they are dated 08/95 with a expiry date of 07/00. Should I jsut chuck this or will it last longer?

The food is sealed in Aluminum vacum sealed packs as is the water!

I know it should be replaced but realesticly, how long do these things last?

I have eaten freeze dried about 3-4 years past the date and everything was good.

Are you going to take this #### into the bush and risk eating it? It is one hell of a place to experiment with food. While you are at it gather up some mushrooms and saute them up to garnish your meal.

I was given dozens on them dating from the late 90s to 2003 and the whole works got trashed.
