Suzuki has an automated email available at the following link requesting the BC government create a network of bear management areas where hunting is banned.

He claims 10,310 emails have already been sent, help combat his BS by deleting the contents of his automated email and putting in your own thoughts about this idea.

Keep in mind that if these no bear hunting areas get created the next step will be to ban all hunting in these areas.

We have parks for humans. How about for bears too?
Grizzly bears are at risk of disappearing or are already extinct in many parts of the world. British Columbia's wilderness provides one of the last global safe havens for these bears. Sadly, humans are threatening their ability to survive here because of hunting, poaching, and the destruction of grizzly habitat due to development. The B.C. government can change this by creating grizzly bear management areas, or bear parks, where these majestic animals can feed, breed and den in peace. Join the thousands of people who are calling on the provincial government to protect grizzlies in British Columbia by creating grizzly bear management areas.

Government must reduce human-caused mortality of B.C.'s bears

I'm writing to ask you to preserve this province as one of the last global safe havens for grizzly bears by acting to reduce the number of bears killed by humans and human activity.

British Columbia’s grizzly bears are among the most vulnerable large mammals on the continent to human-caused threats, such as climate change, degradation and loss of habitat, over-fishing of the salmon they feed on, and intentional mortality from hunting, control kills and poaching. Strong government laws and regulations to protect and recover grizzlies must address all of these threats if B.C. is to maintain healthy populations of grizzlies in the wild.

Your government opens the sport-hunting season every spring and fall for grizzlies and other bear species across the province, even though the trophy hunting of grizzlies is not supported by most British Columbians and is threatening a lucrative bear-viewing industry. Many First Nations also oppose the trophy hunt for cultural and spiritual reasons.

I'm asking you to act on the commitment you made in 1995 to protect grizzly bears by creating a network of grizzly bear management areas (GBMAs) that act as sanctuaries for bears and other wildlife, where they can be safe from hunting and other human activities. This is a recommendation that was made to your government by a blue-ribbon panel of grizzly bear biologists in 2004 and more recently in 2010, but has yet to be adequately implemented. With your government's help, we can maintain B.C. as one of the last safe havens for grizzlies and save these iconic bears from disappearing.

I'm afraid i would have to agree with him on certain points. Area's that once contained grizzlies and wolves are now devoid of them and should be made into haven with no hunting and a restocking program started immediately.Places like surrey ,whiterock, vancouver and burnaby were once prime grizzly bear and wolf habitat and a transplant program should be started in these areas first.:)

And "human" is the snack of choice. What a dumb dink.

Stanley Park would be a good place to start.:p No wait! Actually, right next door to wherever Sukizu lives would be the best. Then he could walk over every morning and visit with the bears, you know, explain to them the "nature of things".....

the problem is poaching.. hunting is already managed.. if there were no poachers, hunters could hunt and there would still be plenty of bear around...

hey if hes not making up crap to "save the enviroment" hes not doing his job.

that said.. we cant let our animals disappear... he just needs understand hunting

I did just that, and here is what I wrote.
My name and addresss went in with it.

As a long time resident and hunter in BC, I would like to state that government biologists have been manageing our wildlife very well.
I have been roaming the wilds of British Colubia for more than 64 years and I can without hesitation, state there are far more grizzly bears in BC now, than there were 60 years ago.
Logging has opened up so much new growth for feed for them. Combined with this has been their excellent management by government biologists, including the very conservative anual number of bear licences alotted to resident hunters through the draw system.
And while grizzly bears have greatly increased in numbers over the years, the black bear population has exploded! I think, without doubt, there are more black bears in BC now, than at any other time in modern history.
Hopefully, the bears of BC will continue to be managed just as they have been in recent years.

I may be a little extreme for saying, but I think Suzuki would be better serving the planet he loves by becoming bear poop.

Boy, I guess Suzuki forgot to mention that...

Government must reduce hot air coming from David Suzuki

I'm writing to ask you to preserve this province as one of the last global safe havens from the gaseous eruptions emanating from David Suzuki's ass. Global warming is a serious problem and David Suzuki's all cabbage diet severely impacts both the local air quality and the global atmosphere with large amounts of sulfurous methane. In Alberta David Suzuki would be considered a sour gas hazard, in fact. I personally believe that is why he has it out for the oils sands; he is upset that the Albertans force him to wear a warning sign.

I hope that the government of British Columbia can legislate an end to this dangerous situation by forcing the insertion of a cork into Mr. Suzuki's offending orifice. I know many people will think I mean his mouth but, as mentioned above, I believe it is his ass that is the most dangerous opening.
