Just picked up a svt 40 at my local canadian tire. Got her all cleaned up. Did seem to take awhile but I'm sure after disassembling a few times it'll speed up. Didn't buy any ammo yet as I don't really want the surplus stuff for what I'm doing. It was super cheap though 17 cents a round! They only had the surplus. Started looking around for some brass ammo for reloading. Doesnt seem to be much around. I want to find about a 200 gr bullet for shooting bison when we butcher. The fmj stuff might be ok for coyotes. I'll have to check if that's ok in saskatchewan.
