SVT-40 collectible?

Hi, I've always been interested with the SVT-40, thinking it was pretty advanced for its time.

Now I see a lot of them on the EE and was curious if there are any collectible examples on the market, that are for instance no refurbished, because most of them seem to be. What to look for in an SVT if I want a rifle that is beyond "select" grade?
