SVT-40 firing pin

Firing pin on my SVT-40 broke during dryfire. Is it typical occurrence or it is just my bad luck?

Just bad luck.

Hah.. well I guess I got "tired" one. Next time I will use snap cap and will not rely on my luck. Firing pin snapped right where it hits cross pin.

I have an extra complete bolt but I don't know about shipping it across the border.

SVT Firing pin looks pretty simple part. Can somebody with lathe turn it from grade 8 bolt?

Bolt assembly should be just fine, at least on our end. Our law sees "firearm" and "firearm parts/accessories". Empty receiver is a firearm in the eyes of Canadian law. Possessing stripped receiver is the same thing as possessing fully assembled firearm. Bolt is just a part. Couple of years ago, while airsoft companies only made 47 models I used to order AK parts (furniture, gas tubes, bolt, folding stock etc.) from K-Var for custom projects. Everything was legit and imported with proper paper work. My friend from states shipped everything over, 2-3 packages got inspected by our customs, everything came in no problem. There was a delay and one time they gave me really hard time over wood furniture and a gas tube out of all things but everything turned out just fine.

Yah worst comes worst, just machine one... Not the end of the world lol
