Svt 40 mag limiter survey

2 with riveted, 1 with chopped (and didn't function function anymore because of it). Bought a riveted repro from Westrifle that works fine after a little hand fitting to the rifle.

The one I got from a local gun shop here has a metal rod welded underneath the follower. When I got it I couldn't fit 5 rounds into the magazine because that rod was too long... So I filed the tac weld that they did on the baseplate (how the hell am I supposed to take it apart then?) and cut the rod just enough so I could fit 5.5 rounds into the magazine.

It doesn't look limited to 5 rounds but it is. :p

My tula came the same way, it held 4.5 rnds until I ground down the rod. My tula came from epps.

Removing the rod would be very very bad, causing a complete loss of the ozone layer and an end to civilization. But making it fit the maximum limit of 5 rounds isn't wrong.

I got a very nice looking rifle off ee, it shoot great and accurate, but it has a cut mag that drives me up the wall. Seen an factory pinned mag on ee but someone got to it before me. I have heard the repro mags from westrifle arnt worth the metal they are made of. I think i will keep this svt because its so nice and buy another with a pinned mag.

Not true about the repro mags from westrifle. They do require some "fitting" but after that they do work. Only problem I had with mine was not hold open after the last shot.

Please do a review about the product you bought and not heard. I sold over 2000 of those mags.
This is not fear on "heard basis"
