SVT-40 magazine

Does anyone have any idea where I can get a svt-40 mag that hasn't been chopped in half and is just pinned to 5 rounds?

Honestly? Easiest way is probably to buy a rifle that has one with it.

Very few to be had, and expensive if you find them. I think Numrich has them occasionally but haven't seen them available to Canada. There is some word about aftermarket magazines, but until such a product actually comes up for sale, I wouldn't hold my breath.

If you have one of any sort, treat it very nice along with other SVT-40 parts. Nice rifle, but very few replacement parts at this time.

The only source of ANY SVT40 mahazine I have ever heard about is that fellow in Estonia who has a supply that he sells for around $200US ea. With shipping/taxes it'll cost as much as the rifle.

I have a friend who is a custom metal fabricator, maybe he could do some "bidness" making these? I know he could do it with his eyes closed.

I have ordered an SVT-40 fro Badger Arms.
I also have a cut mag on another one I have, and I have a spare original full length mag. Pinned of course.
I bought it quite a while ago from Ki11ercane, before he opened his store. It cost me $100 but is in really nice shape. You could PM him and inquire......

Unpinned from Gunparts runs $58.45US. They will not pin it for you.
Epp's had a pinned mag listed at $125. Doesn't help, but it'll give you an idea of retail prices.

These are the mags on the new batch of SVT-40's we just got in....$299.95 for the gun, mag, sling, pouches etc.

You don't need a second mag, just get stripper clips from Marstar or Trade-Ex

Why does everyshipment of svts come different.
Half are chopped half are not. Its retarded.

Im not sure. Down the road I can see the rifles with proper magazines holding their value much better then those that have been bubba'd.

I have one full length and two chopped, so I'm good I guess.

Be prepared to pay between 110 (fair) to 150$ (in good condition, full length). Available sometimes at gunshows or recently at Ellwood Epps (section "this 'n that" / magazines).
