SVT 40 muzzle brake and sight swap

If I switch a 6 slot muzzle break for a 2 slot

1. Does the muzzle key only drift one way?
2. Will my POI be way off or the same even though both appear to be in the same position
3. Am i being a Donkey for even thinking about swapping it out
The rifles in question are run of the mill refurbs. I just like one rifle more than the other for shooting but I like the 2 slot for cleaning purposes

1. Both ways, but you can find one is easier than another.
2. Results vary.
3. Man- hours spent with little to no benefits IMO. Two port is less effective as brake, but not that loud and a bit of easier to clean, yes.
