Hello,

can anyone that has an SVT40 measure the oprod length and diameter (with a caliper/micrometer pls for diameter)?

I don't have mine right now, and I'm looking to purchase a titatium rod in the US to replace the steel one.

Cheers!

Hi,

Mine is 372 mm long,diameter 5.45 mm.

Hope that helps.

Ugh... amazon had a lot of 15x 5.5mm x 20" rods... Guess I'll have lots of spares haha. 35g for a SVT length rod (vice 150-200g)

If you want to save weight maybe make the gas piston and cylinder out of titanium as well. they're even further forward than the op rod and probably weigh more as well.

I thought about that.. but those are specific parts that would have to be machined... The ones I have right now are the SS piston/cup. I think I'd need Grade 23 Ti for anything closer to the gas action though, vice the grade 5 i got for the 15 rods
