SVT-40 Scope Options?

I've got a hankering for an SVT-40. Unfortunately, with my eyes a scope is pretty much a must--4x is plenty. Anyone have any suggestions for mounts/rails for this rifle, or can someone point me to a previous thread on this subject?

There have been tons of posts on this subject. Bottom line from someone who has tried it....not so easy to scope one of these rifles.

The original mounts move fore and aft...aftermarket ones more so.
 
I have been searching for the same thing, and yeah I keep finding tons of posts, but most things tend to direct you to 500$ worth of mount and scope, and for a 250$ rifle, kinda hurts.
