SVT-40 scoping options

I have a few SVT-40 and I want to convert the crappy one (non-matching) to a hunting rifle. It shoots alright, but has little collection value. So, what's my scoping options?

Original mounts around? Newly made?

Check out Gun Parts Corp web site . They had repo orig type scope mounts for around $150. if I remember correctly . & they will ship to Canada

Look on the reciever cover for scope mounting grooves. Later rifles don't have this feature but the early models will. These reciever grooves allow for the mounting of repro mounts like the one sold at PS Militaria.
