SVT 40 Slings - Leads?

Corwin Arms used to have some - check and enquire with them.
You can also use PPSH slings, but they are a few inches shorter (but still work ok).
 
Quite rare, expect to pay $100-$300 for a real SVT-40 sling.

eBay is your best bet, places like liberty tree collectors may get them in from time to time.
 
I forgot to mention, Numrich Arms in the US had correct SVT40 slings also. I and another fellow got a some just over a year ago. They are the true SVT40 slings and were in nice shape. Not sure if that is the current situation. Here is a link, and I see the price has come down!

thanks, that's perfect...just starting to look...have a hard time paying as much for a sling as for the rifle! phew!!! is a cz 858 sling long enough? ($10)
 
Probably would be long enough. On the CZ sling, the part where the leather and canvass are stitched together, is kind of thick. It may be a real tight squeeze to get it through the SVT buttstock sling loop. I'm noot sure if it will fit through there.

Last year the Numrich SVT40 slings were the real deal, with the correct 55" length. Good shape.
Best to call and confirm like Midnight mentioned.

That's too funny because I also just ordered 3.

I called their support, technician measured the sling at 55 1/4" and confirmed them as SVT-40 slings from their source.

As far as I'm aware, slings are simply pieces of leather, canvas, or similar such material and customs on both sides most likely treats it as such. Conceivably a gym bag strap could be used for a rifle sling or vice versa. Numrich has said they ship them to Canada, and say they won't accept international orders on things they can't ship internationally, and they've taken my money which leads me to believe I should expect them to show up sometime in the next month.
But as with all things, I could be wrong.

...numrich is good...although they don't control the mail, which is a whole other issue...and while i suped-up my sks's i want the svt40 to remain intact military config so i thought a vintage sling would be nice...
