svt 40 snipers

Seems like I have had the misfortune stumbling on the RGuns snipers when questar is closed for the monthly shutdown. Assuming I get there too late & get denied by Rguns selling out (third sniper sol situation) of them, I have been looking at some svt sniper models. Question is, how do you tell the "repros" from the real ones?

Just a heads up, as of Dec1 any rifle brought into Canada from the states will have to be stamped with an import mark.....

I'd consider any SVT sniper a "repro". Even if made from original parts these rifles were built to accept a scope regardless of inherent accuracy and therefore anyone with the proper mount ans scope can turn any scope slotted svt into a "sniper".

PS: Check out tradeexcanada and P&S militaria for complete "rebuilt" sniper rigs, or original wartime scopes and rig your own up without an ugly import mark on it.
