Shipped out a week late due to the guys being at shotshow, and was scheduled to be here on the 4th of February; but good news! It arrived today!

Came with a sling, oil can, and an ammo pouch.

The upper part of the handguard is a bit loose.

Has a very worn, rugged feel to it. I love how it looks - used, abused, and Russian to the core.

All in all, very, VERY happy with Wolverine Supplies as a first time customer. Hope to do business with you again in the near future *cough*HKP30*cough*;)

The 2 SVTs I got from them also had loose top handguards so it must be normal, remember the Russians aren't know for carrying to much about fit and finish.

Looks very nice btw :)

Mine showed up with loose top handgaurds as well, but no big deal. Shipped to me in a week, awesome service from wolverine supplies. This makes 2 svt-40's for me now

Just a quick update - fixed the loose handguard issue by moving the barrel band that had the sling slot on it down slightly, tightening the gap between the two.
Took it out for a test run this afternoon, and had several issues. I was firing steel case 7.62x54r (only stuff I have atm, will try surplus and brass) 184g, set the gas selector to 1.3, and tried a couple rounds. Stovepiped once, failed to eject almost every round after the first 2 full magazines (10 rounds total). I know steel cased ammunition has a rough time in almost any gun, so I'll be buying some surplus and actual brass ammunition this weekend coming up.

try 1.5.I shot mine on friday with surplus ammo ,first at 1.3 and it kept jamming. At 1.5 its flawless excet i got to fix the mag rivet to allow 5 rounds to be fed properly.enjoy

It's a '42 refurb with a naval stock. The finish on the stock is starting to chip off, but makes the rifle look more worn in and adds a bit of personality. Still need to fully strip it down and give it a good cleaning, but it held a nice grouping - 1.5" @ 100yds horizontally. I'll have to try it this coming weekend at 1.5, thanks for the advice guys.
