I know how to "normally" get the trigger group out of the SVT-40:
Take a bullet or something similar that will fit into the hole, then press or tap with soft hammer to depress the catch (the round tube moves back) and the group falls out.
But mines not doing that. I took the rifle out a couple of weeks ago, sprayed some gun oil into it (haven't touched it in about a year, and other than being dry, it was fine...no rust or anything) and put about 20 rounds down range. When I took it home and stripped it, I couldn't get the round tube to move. I've tried bullets, pliers, brass, screwdrivers...just about everything I can think of. I tried spraying both ends with gun oil, and then after a while, CLP. But still nothing. My next thought is to try some Brody 5 in 1 (cleaner, deruster, lubricant spray) from work. Before I give up and it goes to gunsmith with the other problems I'm having with it, does anybody have any suggestions or ideas?
