Svt-40

Who's selling svt-40's these days? A quick search shows the leverarms has them for 375-400, can anyone give me any leads? Thanks.

Check Lever Arms.

Awesome. Just awesome.

They would appear to be out of stock everywhere I look outside of Lever Arms. If you don't want to deal with them I'd suggest the EE...you may get lucky though I doubt you'll be paying less.

I have bought 3 SVT's on EE in the last 2 months.
They are fantastic rifles, took apart and cleaned 2 of them. Stripped the varnish and "true oiled" one of them serial 1980 (yr i was born), I am very happy with this rifle and purchased a scope which I have yet to mount on the rails. The 3rd was a rare podolsk assembled immediately after the german invasion before the factory evacuations if the history is true from internet sources. I paid btw 400-600 for what I picked up and am happy with each of them. I left the podolsk with cosmoline inside as I do not plan to shoot it yet. They are much lighter than you would think for such a rifle, similar in weight to an SKS somehow. Much is written about them being hard to take apart and assemble but after doing it twice it is honestly not very difficult. Not foolproof like taking apart and assembling a Mosin, I needed to watch Youtube step by step for my first breakdown and assembly. I could have hunted and scrapped for slightly better deals but I found a few rifles I liked and just bought them. For me its not about just having a rifle its about the story and history behind the rifle along with the quality. You just can't compare the quality of a nice milsurp to an equal or slightly higher priced same calibre weapons avail new today (in my personal opinion)

Well put! The story is where the real value is!

Lever is customer oriented?
Are they under new management? Hanging up on a paying customer halfway through a 6 gun transaction because they said it's almost closing time.Sale over and manager could have cared less when called the next day for an explanation.Arrogant and rude is more like it.....Harold

You go there and you're invisible unless, apparently, you're on an approved list.

Well without having done anything but call them to place my order I must have ended up on the approved list because both times I bought milsurp guns from them they were absolutely stellar!

I was being a little facetious about the "customer service" crack. They usually have 5-10 SVT's on display that they will let you paw through for a few minutes.
Here's some more Lever storeroom #### from Canadian produced tv show Weapon Hunter.
