Not sure if I'm in the right forum but here goes. I picked up a svt 40 on the weekend and I need a flash hider muzzle extension. I can't find one locally and was hoping someone here would have one or point me in the right direction.
Thanks Irish

I'm thinking that's gonna be a hard part to find
The only places I can think of who might be able to help is Marstar and Lever Arms
You might have to look at places in Europe, Ukraine, Russia
or find a junker somewhere for cheap to use for parts

So not wanting to pay overinflated prices makes me cheap? The rifle operates and shoots great, looking for the part is strictly esthetic. Found the part in the states, was hoping someone had one up here so I wouldn't have to deal with customs.

You may want to email CGN sponsor P&S Militaria as they have had lots of milsurps in the past. I'd think they may have some parts kicking around. Might be worth a try.

Is yours one of the globeco cut down version with a front sight mounted on the gas block like the below picture? If so the only issue with mounting an original flash hider/front sight assembly is that the cleaning rod retainer will not stay in place as the barrels were shortened.

I used to always see svt40 parts on eBay, might not hurt to take a look there. It’s been awhile thought since I was looking for anything related to them so who knows what’s available.

Old thread but I’ll chime in for anyone reading.
I’ve ordered parts off ebay from poland and pre-war ukraine. Took a while to arrive (as advertised) but other than that no issues.

that's what you get when you are cheap and try to save money buying second hand junk.

How does buying a Milsurp rifle make someone cheap ? what about if it was a used car or truck and it was all they could afford ? new cars and guns and heck even food can be faulty . sorry man but I can't understand the logic . I bought a used car . hell all my vehicles have been used . I'd better leave this alone .
