Just get my SVT 40 from TEC. The best surplus arm I even got, shoots better that Norc M14 and much lighter. The finishing is beautiful. Shipping is fast too.

The muzzle brake works very well, but all the cleaning procedure I can find on the net don't show how to clean the brake.

I am planing use surplus ammo on my SVT and don't want rust inside the brake.

Any knowledgeable friend can help me?

I wouldn't worry as much about the muzzle brake - just run a patch or two through it as best you can like you would for the barrrel. Be more concerned with the gas system. Corrosive ammo can play havoc with parts that are not flushed clean of the nitrates that are found in the military primers. A hot water and ammonia solution will neutralize the salts and then you can clean as you normally would.

Here's a good link for all things SVT related: http://www.mosinnagant.net/USSR/SVTsection.asp

Thanks, my friend.

Plain hot water(tap hot will do, but a kettle of boiling is better) is enough for cleaning corrosive salts out. Ammonia does nothing to them.
Use a .45 calibre bore brush for the brake if you think you need to.
