SVT scope mount pin breakage

I guess this is about my SVT40
The pin appears to be made of poor quality pot metal that just couldn't stand up to the rigors of shooting. The pin didn't break in half-just the thin top piece was gone when I came home from a day at the range. Fortunately, Sarco stocks them at $2.50. I'm going to order about 10
From a similar post i put on an american board, it sounds like pretty common problem with the repro pins.
