Hey guys, im having a lot of issues with my aftermarket SVT40 mag, any place to find an original?

Yeah haha, $200 is overkill! I managed to get mine running relatively reliably. The follower is almost too big for the mag & I can't remove it because of the way the mag is pinned. Oh well, works decent now

I recently spent many hours getting a low-quality repro to (sort-of) work.

Is yours one of the ones with a bent wire welded front-to-back in the inside of the magazine? And the spot welds separating on the front fold-seam?

Yeah that sounds like the one I have, I spent maybe 6-7 hours on it works decent now!

The worst part was that the overall chassis was too long to fit into the mag well.

get clips and reload the one mag, its not a drop mag type of rifle, no need for extra's , clippies are cheaper

I have 4 SVT'S so have some extra mags whenever I take out one rifle. Still I suggest using the 5 Rd stripper clips for the mosin nagant as they are compatible and your mag is pinned to 5 rounds anyway.......
