I have seen two ways, one is they chop off the mag and make it a 5 rounder (f**k those guys, way to molest a 70yr old milsurp).

The other way is a rivet is inserted at the 5 round point so the follower can't go any lower. This makes cleaning the mag a bit more annoying but at least it doesn't ruin it, and if we ever get rid of the mag laws, allows us to go ahead with 10 rounds.
