I'm wondering how people have found the SVT40 scope & mount from Westrifle as far as installation and quality go? Are they removable once you get them on? Are there any permanent modifications needed to the rifle? I have no experience with this sort of thing so I'm wondering if it's worth the price.

I put one on an Izvesk 41 SVT40 that uniquely has a serial number in the year I was born 1980 ! Love it

I found this scope easy to sight in at 100 yards for 2-3 inch groups so far MFS FMJ

I do not have a sniper notch only rails and this mount slide on fine and has held zero well for about 120 rds so far.

Only problem I have is that take down requires this bracket to be removed for full cleaning. I have yet to take it all down since zeroing with the pain of having to rezero after. This makes the rifle a factory ammo machine cleaned with a boresnake. I have avoided firing surplus through this rifle for this reason alone. Once I do get to a full takedown I will have a better idea how close the scope will hold when removed and put back on.

also for $400 I expected a cover and caps like when the scope is ordered alone, being a combo item should be included. but the world is no fair. lol tasked my mother to make one with her industrial sewing machines, will pic the result if it happens.
