Just arrived today and I snapped a few pics in the fading light for you guys to check out. This is an original and matching svw45. It is in excellent condition with spectacular phosphate finish and great chatter. Everything is phosphate except the e/135 marked ejector assy, front trigger guard screw, follower, and rear sight spring which are blued. With only about 15,000 svw45 marked K98k's made they are one of the hardest to find in original untouched and matching condition.

This one is mentioned in the book "Kriegsmodell" by Bruce Karem/Mike Steves in a couple places and is definitely the highlight of my collection. It's just an outstanding piece.

Sorry some of the pics aren't the greatest.

Another nice piece brought to Canada, good work Jeremy, keep it up guys and keep bringing back some nice collector stuff to OUR country!!

Absolutely 100% worth your efforts. Not much to say but unquestionably original vet bringback exactly the stuff collectors search for.

That thing has gotta be way better than you could've hoped for. Truly outstanding and that chatter is awesome. Definately the nicest MO I've seen in a while.

Well, you saw the seller's pics and it was pretty hard to tell how much chatter it had in them. When I finally got to examine it in person, I was blown away by the extent of it and how rough it is in places. Also the phosphate is much nicer than I expected as well. Really a nice grey, similar to Andrew's bcd4. A lot of the MO phosphate seems to be more green than this, at least it is on my byf45.

I get the impression you don't intend to drill and tap it, turn the bolt down, replace the stock and rebarrel it to .308 or .270?

Seriously, though, that is a great piece. Congratulations.
