SW 1911 pc?

I am contemplating my first 45ACP 1911, and have set my eyes on S&W performance center, either the regular 5" barrel with blue grip, or the lightweight version of 4.25" barrel.
Anyone has any suggestions and big-Nos to this gun? Or recommendations of other brand in that price range?
I appreciate that.

The lightweight version has a strong recoil spring which makes racking the slide more difficult. I find the fish scale serrations on the slide too aggressive.
