Its not like I haven't ever handled or shot one before; it was only a clip or 2 and it might have been in 40sw and I think I remember I was not all that impressed at the time. Yesterday I went to shoot my mp9 that i received in a trade from EE and I have to say I am in love with this pistol. The ergonomics are great and it shoots like a dream.

I'm so happy with it that I wanted to share with CGN :).

I suppose the only negative thing I can say so far is that the mags fit 10 very tight (i plan on filing down the follower) and the trigger is a little spongy feeling.

Anyone do work to their trigger want to give me some pointers?

Thanks.

If you don't have one already, get a Maglula loader for the mags. It'll make life much easier, and you won't have to file the follower.

AS far as the trigger, Apex is the only name you need.

+1 on the Uplula. When I was doing training and orientation on the M&P [800 rounds!] the Uplula loader really saved my thumbs.

Also, +1 on the APEX duty/carry kit upgrade...it smooths things out quite a lot, although you may prefer to just shoot your M&P to accomplish much the same thing. A few hundred rounds and you should find your gun a lot smoother.

Just buy the Apex USB and install it. The spongy feel will be gone. The apex trigger is nice but I actually prefer the competition kit with the stock trigger. I have the FSS Trigger installed in one of my guns and really don't think it makes all that much difference. To lighten the trigger you can replace the trigger spring Apex and others sell them - Apex comes in a kit. So much depends on what you want or think you want. What I prefer maybe entirely different than what you are looking for. What are you going to use the gun for?

Take Care

I have the competition kit and the rigger is excellent. Well worth it.

Take the followers out and file the front and back shorter. They have a U shaped notch in them. File enough plastic away so the U is gone. That is the right amount to make it easy to load the 10th round and to insert it with the slide closed.

Nobody warned the OP about the different sear blocks in new models which disables you to install certains part of the APEX KIT. I am not sure if APEX is selling a new upgraded version for the latest MPs.
Something to think about before you spend 100+ on parts.

I have not shot the PRO version, I heard good things.
I had the FS and sold it, due to, let's put it this way: I was not impressed with the craftsmanship/tooling/finishing. It just looked cheap plastic, plastiky, and poorly finished and fitted with tooling marks under the slide, gritty trigger and a very poor crown and the rifling was the worst I had seen in a firearm before, there was not a single land or groove that was symmetric and this could be seen by the naked eye!!!! the funny fact: it made 2.5 inch groups at 25 yards, VERY ACCURATE! they are just not my cup of tea and I prefer spend my money in more refined firearms. Pick your poison.

I really wanted to like the MP. I just hate giving my money to a company that obviously don't care for quality, at least in the MP platform. Then again, like everything in life you get what you've paid for, hence the higher price tags on other brands.
Cheers.
