Was visiting a friend this weekend, looking at all his milsurp stuff and he pulled out a swagger stick used by a relative in the Second World War. Very nicely done, tapered, and at the narrow end, it was capped by a "DA" C-broad arrow "42" marked .45 auto casing. At the wider end was the brass shell casing pictured as a cap.
Same headstamp markings and shown for scale against a quarter in the one shot. My first guess is/was Boys anti-tank casing, but I seek confirmation or correction here.
